The Fanny Hill concert series may be over for the summer, but there's still music each Thursday at the recently organized VillageFest through Sept. 16. Family entertainment including art show, kids' entertainment and vendors will be on the Base Village Plaza starting at 4 p.m. with live music by Tom Ressel & Friends. Then Tijerina, a hot blues/rock band from Albuquerque, will play from 6 - 9 p.m. Proceeds will benefit art and music education throughout the valley.

Runs from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. with live music from noon - 2 p.m. Chalk it up! is a free Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest on the Snowmass Mall and at Base Village. Artists of all abilities and ages can sign up from 8 – 9 a.m. Prizes for Open, High School and Youth Categories. Creation of Chalk Art from 9 a.m. – noon.
