The awful truth about pork
Editor:Sean Hannity and his neocons have just come out from under a rock and discovered how Congress works. Apparently, during the 10 years the Republicans controlled Congress, deals were not made to get the votes.
There were always trade-offs. It's called “pork.” I'll vote for your dam if you vote for my bridge, sometimes to nowhere.
That is how the Health Bill in the Senate got passed. Someone once said there are two things you should never watch. One is how sausage is made and the other is how laws are made. Boy, is that ever true. Ask Tom Delay.
Has there ever been an expert in disagreement with the Fox (lying) News with the radical right wing neocons? No, now they have a new “expert”. I forgot his name but he started a Web site called biggovernment.com.
My, my, but is he nasty. Probably started at Fox (lying) News. I'm sure we will hear more from the founder.
There is also redstate.com. Quite a group of self hating Americans.
Yours for “fair and balanced” news. Don't expect it from the FOX.

No excuse for failure this season
Editor: OK, the less intellectually gifted are increasing their efforts so that despite their ineptitude, as usual, they will see money flow into their cash and accounts receivable accounts on the Aspen Skiing Co. balance sheet for this 2009/2010 ski season.
Whether Skico “cranks up” or “ramps up” its seduction of folks who can dare to gamble to spend their money and credit cards in Aspen for a destination cheap thrill charge has Skico Marketing Vice President Jeanne Mackowski shooting off her mouth with desperation as her middle name.
Ms. Mackowski's job is probably not on the line. However, if I were her boss instead of Kaplan, she and all the rest of Skico executives would get the following message from me that in the 1980s, a Bank of America World Headquarters vice president named David Bell used to tell his “International Banking” class students (which included me), “In a capitalistic society there is no excuse for failure.”
Do you get the message honey?
Skico's marketing plan and execution is being done a primitive intelligent level: Voo doo practicing in deprivation economics. Where is “PaPa Doc” when you need him?
Where are those two Los Angeles billboard ads placed showboating Aspen/Snowmass Olympic snowboarder Gretchen Bleiler? Do you think more than a handful in Los Angeles will recognize and think she has more pull to get folks to Aspen than world famous Barbi Benton, Playboy's Hugh Hefner's old flame who still has the glow and a much wealthier target market of big spenders instead of the chipmunk skiing crowd?
